How to Create a Rattlebox eCard with Your Own Video
You must be logged in as a member to use this feature.

1) If you are already signed in to your Rattlebox account, simply click on the “My Own Videos” option in your account menu located in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

If you are not yet a member, click on “Join Now For Free” to sign up, then follow the steps in this guide.

2) To upload or record your video, enter a name for the video where indicated and click on the “Upload” button in the bottom of the dialog box.

3) To allow our Java applet to run in your browser, click “Trust” where indicated.

4) The next screen will load the video uploader utility. Please be patient – the video uploader may take a few minutes to load onto your system, especially the first time. Once the video uploader utility has completed loading, you will see the screen below.

You can choose to click the webcam option to record yourself or you can drag and drop a video file from your computer onto the screen where indicated

5) Once your video is finished recording or importing, you can preview it by clicking on the play button.

NOTE: The maximum length allowed for Rattlebox videos is One Minute. After previewing, click the “Publish” button to save your video in your Rattlebox “My Own Videos” account.

6) Please be patient as your video is processed and transmitted to the Rattlebox website. This may take a few minutes. The progress indicator will let you know once the process is complete. Do not close your web browser or leave the page while your video is being processed!

7) Once the video upload process is complete, you will be returned to your “My Own Videos” page, where you will see a thumbnail of your new video in your personal gallery! To create a card with this video, select the “Create Card” button as highlighted below.

8) On the preview screen you should see your video begin to playback to you in the Rattlebox player. Click the "Send this as an Ecard" button.

9) You will be presented with a form to add an optional beginning and ending message. You can use either, both or none – whatever you like. These messages will play at the beginning and end of your video, as indicated. If you choose not to enter a message for either the start or end of your card, the video will play as usual. You may also enter an optional title for your Rattlebox card. Once you have entered your messages, click the “Preview & Share” button.

10) Your customized card will now be played back to you! Click the "Email my e-Card" button to continue.

11)Now you can enter in as many contacts as you’d like to send your ecard to. Once finished, hit the “Send it Now!” button. You should receive a confirming email notifying you that your ecard has been sent!
