LOS ANGELES – Dec. 4, 2007
From traditional occasions such as birthdays, to telling someone exactly how you feel (or don't feel), Rattlebox has video cards for every conceivable sentiment, from "F U" to "I love you," and everything in between. Rattlebox cards can be sent with a few clicks, just the way they are. Or, create your own e-cards by changing the text throughout.
"Rattlebox was created to fill the void for people who wouldn't send out traditional e-cards," said Nancy Miller Gomez, co-founder and co-CEO of Rattlebox. "People are drawn to social networking sites because they want to express themselves on their own terms. Rattlebox provides a truly unique communication tool unlike anything else currently available online. Users can custom-make video e-cards, or choose from our existing collection."
To produce its video cards, Rattlebox taps into the resources of Film Garden Entertainment, an award-winning production company in which Gomez is a partner. Film Garden has successfully produced hundreds of hours of top-rated television programs and has accumulated a video archive of over 40,000 hours.
Rattlebox cards can easily be posted on blogs and social networking sites, and sent via IM, using an embeddable code generated for each card. Some Rattlebox content is flagged as not suitable for children or those who are easily offended.
